Day 3, 4, 5

Tuesday(13/06/06)
Went to Penang Island or pulua pinang, shopped around a little bit..went back to parit buntar...got ready to go to K.l.!!
Reached k.l..went to one of the rural parts of it..Bukit Buruntong or something..uncle stays there..so slacked the whole day there doing absolutely nothing.. except wacthing movies and soccer...wasted a day..

Wednesday(14/06/06)
Went to Wangsa Maju and stayed there for the rest of the trip.. god..love that place man..went magic shopping!!! went to pudu raya station..that guy was an aggresive salesman..video after video..didn't buy anything from him though.. Next stop: Berjaya Times Square..bought something from there..now to practise the whole routine..god..it's tough..so as we were exiting Times Square..we got lost..I wanted to go left..dad wanted to go forward..so followed him..got on a train..walked..and came back to the exact same spot!!! Dang..wasted money..in the end..after a few hours of walking around the same old place..finally got back to Wangsa Maju..
Tip#4: Try to map your way out..just in case..oh and taking taxi is not an option for those on budget.. they charge by mood..if they're not happy..they can charge RM50? where it's just RM10 on the meter..be careful..

Thursday(15/06/06)
Did a bit more shopping...went to petaling street..just in case you didn't know..petaling street is pirated haven..if you do go there..take a while to see the gang members of the syndicate..they are the ones trying to act normal holding walkie-talkies..there should be 1 guy seating somewhere in front of every entrance these guys are the scouts..any hint of police..they shout into the device and run down the streets alerting everybody... oh and the pirated shops are all inter-connected..i think there was a raid earlier on..that explains the absence of disc..

Friday(16/06/06)
Went to Sunway pyramid to eat lunch at the Magical theatre restaurant..just to find out that they do not open for lunch..dang..went to The Manhattan Fish Market...lovely place..tried their fish and chips..GREAT!!! and the ice lemon tea had a hint of lime..DELICIOUS...you should try it when you're there...they will show Lilo and Stich on the big screen..which is weird because Manhatten is in America..Hawaii is elsewhere..so..yeah.. and what does Lilo and Stich have to do with fish anyway??! haha oh..be warned..they charge a 10% service charge over the usual 5% GST..quite ex...but it's nice!!! haha
thinking about the class gathering through lunch too..real sad...
Went back to Petaling street..witnessed an alarm for a raid..not sure why it didn't happen..There was this guy running now the street screaming something that presumably should be "police" and immediately...the leather goods were all grabbed and packed into bags and these were brought up to the upper floors of the shop houses..take a look if you're there..the boss had to come down and restore order since it was a fasle alarm.. real cool...

Saturday(17/06/06)
Took a bus back to Singapore..back to mugging...haizz..

And that's all!!! yawn..got to go sleep..

My trip in malaysia!!! Day 1 and 2

woots.. sorry guys..long time no updates..
oh and sorry to the WGPalumni people for not attending the gathering on friday..
anyway, back to me life in malaysia with lots of tips..

Sunday(11/06/06)
Carried backpack and took a bus across causeway to take another bus at the Larkin terminal in J.B. reached at 9 plus..My bus was at 10 so watched a bit of soccer before boarding..
Boarded the bus which was thankfully relatively new..(i took a bone-shaker bus before..)
Tip#1: You're better off buying a bus ticket from Larkin.
Tip#2: Buy from a "branded company" like Konsortium/ Tranasional etc.
Monday(12/06/06)
Arrived in the sleepy town called "Parit Buntar" at 6.18 a.m. yes..early in the morning!!! oh parit buntar is somewhere after ipoh..a very small town.. so went to godmother's house to sleep first..before going to eat Parit Buntar's famous BEEF NOODLES!!! I watched in disgust as flies hovered around the uncooked beef..which will then be dipped into boiling soup to cook..and then the guy used the same soup to wash the bowl..before pouring the same soup in..SO you are eating something which is cooked with the same thing.. The beef noodles was nice...though some beef were disgusting..like while eating the beef stomach..i was thinking about the cow chewing grass..swallowing..then vomitting it back up to be chewed again..(you get the idea..) and the cow does it like countless times? In the end..passed all the stomach/intestine to dad..and oh yeah..did i mention that there was this sandy noise when you scrapped the spoon against the bottom of the bowl?
Tip#3: When eating in Malaysia, especially in those coffeeshops and roadside stalls..keep yourself occupied..Whatever you do.. DON'T look at how the food is prepared..Just eat the food in front of you while forcing your mind not to think about flies hovering above the uncooked food/dirty fingernails toucking your food..Trust me..just enjoy the food..

Now for day 3 and 4 in the following post.. haha
